Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most common questions about staying at Trafalgar House

How many guests can comfortably stay?

Trafalgar House is a self-contained 28 m² studio apartment that comfortably sleeps up to 2 guests. The sleeping and living space is open-plan, with a king-size bed, a dedicated desk and chair, a wardrobe, and plenty of room to work, eat, and relax. A separate shower room sits off the main space. Ideal for solo business travellers or couples.

Is it good for families or groups?

Trafalgar House is purpose-designed for business travellers on mid to long-term stays rather than families or larger groups. Guests staying with children or looking for more space across multiple rooms may prefer our sister property, Britannia Chambers in Leek, which sleeps up to 6 guests across two bedrooms plus a sofa bed. Get in touch if you'd like a recommendation.

Is the property easy to access?

The studio is located on the ground floor of the property, accessed via a small flight of 2 stairs. Please note we do not have step-free access or a lift to the apartment. If accessibility is a concern, please contact us before booking and we can walk you through the specifics.

Can extra guests be added?

The studio is designed for a maximum of 2 guests and cannot comfortably accommodate more. If you need space for additional people, our sister property Britannia Chambers in Leek sleeps up to 6 and may be a better fit.

Can I bring my pet?

Trafalgar House is a pet-friendly property. We're happy to welcome well-behaved pets with prior agreement. Please contact us in advance with details about your pet so we can confirm and prepare accordingly.

What is available in the kitchen for cooking?

The studio has a well-equipped in-unit kitchenette with a full-size fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and coffee machine, plus the essentials for self-catering (utensils, cutlery, crockery, and basics like tea, coffee, and salt). There is no hob inside the unit itself, but a full shared kitchen, with a proper hob, oven, and full cookware, is available elsewhere on the property. Longer-stay guests have full access to it.

Is there reliable internet?

Yes. The studio has fast, reliable Wi-Fi throughout, suitable for remote work, video calls, and streaming. Network name and password are included in your check-in instructions and displayed on an info card inside the apartment. If you have any connectivity issues at any point during your stay, let us know and we'll sort it quickly.

Are linens and towels provided?

Yes. Fresh high-quality linens, duvets, pillows, and towels are provided for every booking, and the apartment is fully made up on arrival. Bathroom essentials like hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo are also included, along with a hair dryer. For stays longer than a week, we can arrange a mid-stay linen and towel refresh on request.

How it climate control managed?

Heating is controlled via a simple digital thermostat inside the apartment, covering the whole studio. Instructions are displayed on the info card inside the property and it only takes a moment to set. If anything is unclear during your stay, message us and we'll talk you through it.

Is parking easy and convenient?

Yes. Private, gated, secure parking is included with every booking at no extra cost, on-site at the property. This is a genuine rarity in central Stoke-on-Trent and one of the main reasons business travellers choose Trafalgar House over central hotels, where on-street parking is paid, permit-restricted, or simply unavailable. Space is reserved for you on arrival.

What are the standard arrival and departure times?

Our standard check-in is at 3:00 PM, giving us time to prepare the apartment perfectly for your arrival, and check-out is at 10:00 AM to allow for thorough cleaning. That said, we're all about flexibility; whether you need an early drop-off for luggage or a later departure, just reach out in advance, and we'll do our best to make it work for your schedule!

How do we get into the property?

Check-in is seamless and self-service for maximum convenience. On your arrival day, we'll email or message you detailed instructions, including the location of the secure key box and access codes. No reception means no waiting around; you can arrive and settle in at a time that suits you best. If you have any questions, we're just a quick message away!

Are there any deals for longer stays or repeat guests?

Yes, we love rewarding our guests! For extended stays (like weekly or monthly), we offer discounted rates to make your visit even more affordable. Repeat visitors get special perks too, such as exclusive offers. Drop us a line before reserving, and we'll tailor a quote just for you - thanks for considering us again!

What is the policy if my plans change?

We understand life happens, so our policy is guest-friendly: Full refunds are available for cancellations made 14 or more days before your check-in date. If changes come up closer to your stay, please contact us right away - we're committed to helping where we can, whether that's rescheduling or exploring other options to minimise any hassle.
